Facebook is a blackhole

I am going to start posting a few old things from Facebook on here because I am tired of fruitless searches on Facebook for things I’m sure I posted on there. For the 2 of you that are friends with me on Facebook and read this blog, my apologies for the repeats.

Ruminations:

I truly enjoyed this book in which Rosa Montera works through the death of her husband, while exploring the life of Marie Curie, also a widow. She touches on a number of topics – grief, relations between men and women, feminism, courage, happiness, love, memory – with subtelty and insight. Recommended!

My favorite passages

I read this and experienced the relief you feel when you realize someone else knows exactly how you are feeling.
